Becoming a Mom has changed my life in every way.
As a new Mama, my world has been turned upside down this year. I'm blissed out but thinking of 10 things at once. Primarily I'm focusing on keeping this tiny human of mine fed, napped, and happy. I spent so many years doing and wearing exactly what I wanted. My time, energy, and even wardrobe are obligated to our precious baby. I've found getting dressed in the mornings essential to survival. Even if I won't be leaving the house or only out for a neighborhood stroll, it helps me put on something that makes me feel like me, the version of me who owns a clothing brand and knows how to put together an outfit. It's easy to get trapped in a wardrobe rut cycling through the same nursing tank tops and sweatpants. But I feel so much more motivation and confidence when I get dressed. I've figured out a few pieces that I reach for time and time again. Pants that move and stretch like a legging but wear like cute trousers. Tops that work for this breastfeeding season of life I'm in. Bralettes that don't pinch or bind but offer soft support. A light, easy dress for the elusive date night or girl's night.
